A encenação de Damiano Michieletto é genial. Mas isto não está muito famoso aqui para os lados do
Liceu... Até agora, quem brilha no binómio voz-interpretação é... a Duquesa (J’Nai Bridges)! Muito boa!
A seguir o Conde (Dmitry
Belosselskiy) a nível similar. O Piotr Beczala soberbo na voz, o ponto
mais alto da ópera até agora foi o dueto com a Duquesa, mas agora no final do
1º acto a não conseguir convencer cenicamente contra o pai, no desespero de
amor.
A Sondra Radvanovsky esqueçam...
muito bem caracterizada, parece mais nova do que realmente é, consegue uma
precisão nos agudos e com pianos/pianíssimos interessantes mas não consegue
disfarçar aquele timbre “bruto” e, se coisa Luisa Miller não é, é
“bruta”.
O Miller de Michael Chioldi é
fraco. A figura é boa para o papel, a voz não é feia, mas interpreta muito
abaixo do que se espera para este papel que quer alguém assertivo na voz,
receoso pela filha mas forte e destemido principalmente no Fra’mortali ancora opressa. Este Miller não é um “antigo soldado”. Oh grande Nucci!!! Só ele
salvava isto!!!
Até agora, largos pontos abaixo da Luisa Miller de Zurique do ano passado!
Vamos ver o que se segue.
2º e 3º actos a subir exponencialmente!!! Beczala Fantástico!!! Do outro
mundo, mesmo!!! De deitar o Liceu abaixo!!! O “Quando al sere placido” foi indiscritível. E eu adoro esta
encenação e tem nesta fase um pormenor cénico que do ponto de vista dramático é
sublime. E o final “oteliano” foi de antologia.
Esqueci-me de falar do Wurm antes mas Marko
Mimica foi também um senhor!!!
O Chioldi interpretativamente um pouco melhor mas a faltar algo mais. A
Luisa, o melhor que fez foi o dueto com o Wurm no 2º acto culminado num
excelente Tu puniscimi mas sempre que
abre em turbo lá vem o vibrato que parece vir do palato e que estraga tudo...
felizmente não estragou muito o final da ópera!
Assustei-me com o 1º acto mas valeu muito pelos 2º e 3º.

Damiano Michieletto's staging is brilliant. But the performance is
not very impressive here for the Liceu ... So far, the best in
voice-interpretation binomial was ... the Duchess (J'Nai Bridges)! Very good!
Followed by
the Count (Dmitry Belosselskiy) at a
similar level. The superb Piotr Beczala
performed the highest moment of the opera so far, the duet with the Duchess. But
now, at the end of the first act, he was not able to convince scenically
against the father, in the despair of love.
Forget Sondra Radvanovsky ... very well
characterized, looks younger than she really is, gets a high-pitched precision
with interesting piani / pianissimi but she can't disguise that "hard" tone, what Luisa Miller isn't.
Michael Chioldi's Miller was weak. The figure is good for the
role, the voice is not ugly, but he interpreted far below what is expected for
this role that demands someone assertive in voice, afraid for her daughter but
strong and fearless mainly in the oppressive Fra’mortali
ancora opressa.
This Miller was not an “old soldier”. Oh great Nucci !!! Only he would save
this !!!
So far,
points below last year's Luisa Miller at Zurich! Let's see what follows.
Second and
Third acts rising exponentially !!! Beczala was fantastic!!! Out of this world,
really !! To throw Liceu down !!! The " Quando al sere placido " was indescribable. And I love this staging and it has at this
stage a scenic detail that is dramatically sublime. And the “otellian” ending
was anthology.
I forgot to
mention Wurm but Marko Mimica was
also very good!
Chioldi was
a little better but missing something else. Sondra, the best she did was the
duet with Wurm in the second act culminating in an excellent Tu puniscimi but whenever
she opened in turbo there came the vibrato that seemeed to come from the palate
and that spoils everything ... fortunately it didn't spoil the end of the
opera!
I was
scared after the first act but it was very worth it for the 2nd and 3rd.
