A Fundação Gulbenkian recebeu o pianista russo
Arcadi Volodos para a interpretaçãoo do célebre concerto n.º 1 para piano e
orquestra do mestre Piotr I. Tchaikovsky.
O programa iniciou-se com uma obra de Marc-André
Dalbavie — Variations orchestrales sur une oevre de Janacek. Inicia-se com um
andamento solo para piano e tem relação com a peça As Brumas de Janecek que
ouvimos por Lugansky na Terça-feira.
Segui-se a Suite da ópera A raposinha matreira
de Janacek no arranjo de V. Tallich de 1937. É uma obra interessante cujo tema
principal é bem conhecido do grande público.
Terminámos com o Concerto para piano n.º 1 de
Tchaikovsky, composto em 1874-75 e cuja beleza dispensa qualquer comentário. A interpretação
Volodos foi excepcional.
A Orquestra Gulbenkian foi dirigida pelo seu
maestro titular Lawrence Foster que, em nossa opinião, dirigiu bem, se bem que
em Tchaikovsky foi demasiado irregular nos ritmos adoptados.

The Gulbenkian Foundation received the Russian
pianist Arcadi Volodos for the famous concerto no. 1 for piano and orchestra by
Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky.
The program began with a work by Marc-André
Dalbavie - Variations sur une orchestrales oevre of Janacek. It begins with a
piano solo and i tis related to the Janacek’s piece The Mists that we heard by Lugansky on Tuesday.
It was followed by Janacek’s suite of the
opera A sly fox, arranged by V. Tallich 1937. It's an interesting work whose
main theme is well known to the general public.
We finished with the Piano Concerto no. 1 of Tchaikovsky,
composed in 1874-75, and whose beauty needs no comment. The interpretation Volodos
was exceptional.
The Gulbenkian Orchestra was led by its
conductor Lawrence Foster that, in our opinion, went well, although in
Tchaikovsky he was too irregular on the rhythms he adopted.
