Se a Royal Opera House de Londres é, para
mim, a melhor catedral da ópera mundial, o Royal
Ballet também é considerado o melhor do mundo e este espectáculo é um bom
exemplo que o ilustra.
La Bayadère é um bailado em 3 actos com música de Ludwig Minkus e produção e coreografia
de Natalia Makarova, segundo Marius Petipa. Conta a história de
Nikiya (bailarina do templo) e Solor (guerreiro), casal apaixonado que juram
fidelidade e pretendem fugir juntos. Contudo, Raja oferece ao Solor a mão da
filha Gamzatti em casamento. Nikiya pede a Gamzatti para deixar Solor, esta
tenta comprá-la com presentes, sem êxito e é por ela ameaçada com um punhal. No
baile do noivado Nikiya é obrigada a dançar e é mordida mortalmente por uma
cobra que estava no meio de um ramo de flores que lhe foi oferecido. Solor, com remorsos, fuma ópio e sonha com
ela, mas o casamento prossegue. Há uma grande trovoada e o templo colapsa. Dos
escombros saem Nikiya e Solor que vivem o seu amor para a eternidade.
Dirigiu a
orquestra o maestro Boris Gruzin.
Os bailarinos
solistas, de categoria absolutamente excepcional foram Vadim Muntagirov (Solor), Marianela
Nuñez (Nikiya) e Natalia Osipova
(Gamzatti).
O bailado é de
enorme beleza exótica, os cenários muito bonitos, o guarda roupa muito colorido
e todos os bailarinos em palco foram excelentes. A coreografia é lindíssima mas
não posso deixar de salientar o 2º acto, com a entrada e posterior dança de 24
bailarinas de tutu branco, num quadro de uma beleza avassaladora.
Não sendo eu um
apaixonado, confesso que foi um dos bailados que mais me impressionou.
Fantástico, a não perder!
Nos aplausos
houve muitas flores também para a Makarova,
e até um grande trambolhão do maestro que
nelas tropeçou.

If the Royal Opera House in London is for me
the best cathedral in the world opera, the Royal
Ballet is also considered the best in the world and this performance is a
good example that illustrates it.
La Bayadère is a ballet in 3 acts with music of Ludwig Minkus and production and
choreography of Natalia Makarova,
according to Marius Petipa. It tells
the story of Nikiya (a temple dancer) and Solor (a warrior), passionate couple
who swear allegiance and intend to run away together. However, Raja offers
Solor her daughter Gamzatti's hand in marriage. Nikiya asks Gamzatti to leave
Solor, she tries to buy her with gifts, without success, and is threatened by a
dagger. At the engagement ball Nikiya is forced to dance and is bitten mortally
by a snake that was in the middle of flowers. Solor, with remorse, smokes opium
and dreams of her, but the marriage proceeds. There is a great thunderstorm and
the temple collapses. From the rubble come Nikiya and Solor who live their love
for eternity.
Maestro Boris Gruzin directed the orchestra.
The soloist
dancers, of absolutely exceptional category, were Vadim Muntagirov (Solor), Marianela
Nuñez (Nikiya) and Natalia Osipova
(Gamzatti).
The ballet
is of enormous exotic beauty, the scenarios very beautiful, the costumes colourful.
All the dancers on stage were excellent. The choreography is beautiful but I must
emphasize the 2nd act, with the entrance and subsequent dance of 24 dancers in
white tutus, in a performance of overwhelming beauty.
Not being
in love by ballet, I confess it was one of the ballets that impressed me the
most. Fantastic, not to be missed!
In the curtain
call there were many applause and flowers also to Makarova,
and even a big fall
of the maestro who stumbled in them.
