O LAGO DOS CISNES / SWAN LAKE, New York City Ballet, Fevereiro / February 2020

Tive oportunidade de ver, mais uma vez, um dos meus bailados clássicos favoritos, o Lago dos Cisnes de Tchaikovsky, pelo New York City Ballet.

A música é muito bonita. Foi tocada pela orquestra com pequenas falhas ao longo do espectáculo. O maestro foi Andrew Litton e o violino solista, excelente, Kurt Nikkanen.

Os cenários eram muito pobres, mas os bailarinos de grande qualidade, sobretudo o par solista, Sara Mearns (Odette / Odile) e Guillaume Côté (Príncipe Siegfried).

É para mim sempre um grande prazer assistir a este bailado, quando bem dançado. Foi o caso, apesar de não ter sido fantástico.

SWAN LAKE, New York City Ballet, February 2020

I had the opportunity to see, once again, one of my favorite classical ballets, Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, by the New York City Ballet.

The music is very beautiful. It was played by the orchestra with minor flaws throughout the show. The conductor was Andrew Litton and the excellent violin soloist, Kurt Nikkanen.

The settings were very poor, but the dancers of great quality, especially the soloist pair, Sara Mearns (Odette / Odile) and Guillaume Côté (Prince Siegfried).

It is always a great pleasure for me to watch this ballet, whenever it is well danced. It was the case, although it was not fantastic.
