DIE WALKÜRE / A VALQUÍRIA ideal, Barcelona, Maio 2014

Como relatei aqui e aqui, assisti a duas récitas da Valquíria no Liceu de Barcelona com elencos distintos. 

Para mim, a Valquíria ideal em Barcelona seria:

- Encenação – não a de Robert Carsen, algo mais próximo do idealizado por Wagner.

- Maestro e Orquestra – lamento, mas Josep Pons e a Orquestra Sinfónica do Liceu não estiveram à altura do exigível. Outros seriam melhores.

 - Siegmund – Klaus Florian Vogt, sem qualquer hesitação!

- Sieglinde – Eva Maria Westbroek, mas Anja Kampe também foi excelente.

- Hunding – Ante Jerkunica, mas Eric Halvarson, foi igualmente fabuloso.

- Fricka – Katarina Karnéus, mas Frickas há muitas e… melhores.

- Brühnilde – Iréne Theorin, sem dúvida.

- Wotan – Albert Dohmen, embora Greer Grimsley também tenha estado ao mais alto nível.

The ideal Die Walküre in Barcelona, May 2014

As reported here and here, I saw two performances of the Valkyrie at the Liceu in Barcelona, with different casts. For me, the ideal performance in Barcelona would be:

- Staging - not Robert Carsen´s but something closer to the idealized by Wagner.

- Conductor and Orchestra - sorry, but Josep Pons and the Liceu Symphony Orchestra were not up to the required. Others would be best.

- Siegmund - Klaus Florian Vogt, without any hesitation!

- Sieglinde - Eva Maria Westbroek, but Anja Kampe was also excellent.

- Hunding - Ante Jerkunica but Eric Halvarson was also fabulous.

- Fricka - Katarina Karnéus but there are many better Frickas.

- Brühnilde - Iréne Theorin, no doubt.

- Wotan - Albert Dohmen, although Greer Grimsley has also been at the highest level.
